Life is full of seasons, challenges and moments ranging from what we may consider good to extreme bad. With such thoughts around us, it is important to pause for a moment and ask ourselves one question as follows:
Q. Am I allowing negative thoughts from my inner critic to bring me down?
Strategies to practice:
- Do not focus on the things you don’t like about other people.
- Focus on your inner life in order to transform the outer life – manage the inner critic, check the things you tell yourself.
- Enjoy your life right now, not the one you hope to have in future. Avoid craving desires; enjoy what is right in front of you.
- Find your happy space, what are the things that make you to feel whole? Focus more on self care
- Maintain a reasonable emotional detachment to negative people’s ideas and opinions of you.
- Distance yourself when you can and set firm boundaries.
- Stay away from thinking that you can change other people’s negative ways.
- Remember it is always good to just focus on the solutions and not problems.
